The Manitoba Access to ID Network has been established as a component of the Building the Capacity of Homeless Serving Organization to Provide Access to ID project developed by SEED Winnipeg and End Homelessness Winnipeg. The Manitoba Access to ID Network will operate as a working group of the Manitoba Financial Empowerment Network (MFEN).
The Manitoba Access to ID Network consists of lead organizations, agencies, and systems from a range of sectors who are committed to increasing access to identification for financially vulnerable communities in the province. The goals of the Access to ID Network will be to:
Improve service delivery using a client centered approach (timely, accurate, efficient)
Facilitate the development of trusted contacts between community organizations and government systems to enhance service provision and reducing barriers to ID
Address key barriers/pain points with respect to access to ID and work collaboratively across systems to problem solve and implement effective solutions
This will be accomplished by convening opportunities to share information, identify best practices and engage in joint problem solving across sectors.
